Aging involves the stretching of eyelids and the weakening of muscle. Consequently, extra fat may collect above and under your eyelids, resulting in sagging skin, droopy top lids and bags beneath your eyes. Blepharoplasty can diminish or remove these vision issues and make your eyes look younger and more attentive.  Droopy upper eyelids is the outcome of excessive sagging skin, which also can make you appear tired, depressed or elderly. The lower eyelids become puffy and bags develop overtime. These changes frequently attract attention to a worn appearance. The procedure is more prevalent in women due to self-consciousness. Within a blepharoplasty, the typical correction or alteration  consists on the top and the lower eyelids, also of the surrounding cells of the eyebrows. This procedure is done under sedation or local anesthesia. Fortunately, thw patient is safe to be discharged the same day of the procedure. It can also be done in conjuction with other procedures such as a facelift. It is a fairly short procedure and incisions are made along the natural creases of the supper and lower eyelids. If it isn't necessary that skin is removed, Dr Kassir will perfor a transconjunctivial blepharoplasty. In this specific procedure, the incision is made on the interior of the lower eyelid and there are no visble scars.
