Before Facelift and and Laser Resurfacing by Dr. Kassir
1 Month After Facelift and and Laser Resurfacing by Dr. Kassir
This 56 -year-old patient was tired of seeing the bands of lines running across her neck and tiger-striping across her face. She started looking into facelifts and decided to contact Dr. Kassir for a consultation. After speaking with him, she decided to move forward with the facelift, but also combine it with laser resurfacing in order to achieve an ultimate rejuvenated appearance. Laser resurfacing is often paired with surgical procedures like facelifts, Band Aid lifts, and brow lifts, in order for the patient to receive maximum results. Laser resurfacing is used to improve skin texture and pigmentation, remove and/or diminish wrinkles and fine lines, and erase sun damage. This is performed under local anesthesia and can be done to the neck, arms and hands, as well. The treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the treatment area. Because the laser resurfacing can cause abrasion to the skin’s surface, leaving scabbing and redness, it is an ideal treatment to pair with the facelift, since a facelift recovery time is similar in length.
